NAUSICAÄ. GUERREROS DEL VIENTO

Today I went to the movies... I wanted to watch Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind in the Cineteca Nacional so I went. It was awesome. I really enjoyed the movie, the people who laughed and felt empathy with the characters, and the best of all: my girl. Nausicaä is an animated movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki and it was made before the creation of the Studio Ghibli... if you don't know about Studio Ghibli then you most go to wikipedia and read about it.

Anyway, this movie was released in 1984... (and now I feel old), so, now it's very difficult to watch a movie from 1984, animated, japanese, on the theatre... in Mexico. So I had to take this opportunity, and I did

The Cineteca is screening some movies of Hayao Miyazaki in a retrospective of his work. A movie per day, except 24 and 25 (you know, because of Jesus and his birthday and stuff). So... I'm really excited... I'm gonna see some of the best movies (according to me) ever made on the big screen... I'm so fucking happy...

By the way, This post is named Nausicaä. Guerreros del viento (Warriors of the wind) because this is the fucking name that was given to the mutilated version of Nausicaä of the valley of the wind in 1985 in order to be screened in USA. This was a huge mistake, Even Miyazaki got pissed...

Well, that's the name of the movie we saw today... BUT it was just the title because we watched the original Nausicaä of the valley of the wind from 1984.

The story is about a girl who is a princess and she lives in a post-apocalyptic world and there's a lot of fucking giant bugs and a lot of stupid people who want to do bad things and there are chocobos look-alike and a poisoned forest and badass airplanes and a squirrel that looks like eve from pokemon and, and, and... that's it, if you wanna know more just go and watch the movie.
